Adding bathroom counter decor using baskets are one of my favorite ideas.

Especially useful when cleaning the counter. All you need to do is pick up the basket and wipe the counters. No moving objects around and makes a huge difference.

It’s another simple look that’s really good for small bathroom spaces. I really like exploring woven and rattan basket ideas for counter space, and this kind of look goes really well for bathroom counters especially.

Also, if you’re going for a certain vibe, the basket material goes a long way for curating the space. Woven baskets are more cozy and natural compared to wired or acrylic, which are more designed for modern spaces.

Using a tray on your bathroom counter is a really good way to add some depth and decor to the space. Better yet, you can use the tray to display items such as candles, your hand soap, and maybe even some greenery.

You could also consider the type of tray you’d like to implement, to make sure it goes well with the style and color scheme of your bathroom. Personally I find light oak and honey oak to go best with more traditional and minimalist bathroom designs.

Lastly, decide whether a rounded tray or a rectangular shape would go best on your bathroom counter space.

Personally my bathroom uses a rectangular basket that holds my toothpaste and other necessities, but I really love the simplicity and design of the photo above.

Adding a Candle (or Two)

Out of all the looks here, this is my favorite one. It reminds me of a classy hotel bathroom that provides you with a bunch of hand towels and those little boxes of lotion and bodywash.

With that considered, this look is really good if you’re trying to impress any guests, or if you have a separate guest bathroom.

I find that adding a candle to any space really helps make the environment way more comforting and moody. Imagine an evening where you’re getting ready for bed and the lights are dim, and you have some beautiful scented candles lit.

While the candle in the picture is within a basket, you can definitely just place some candles within the corner of your bathroom counter, maybe even two or three. You can go even further and play with the sizes of the candles so they look a little irregular and not too ‘perfect’

Overall a really simple and effective way to decorate your bathroom counter!

Decorating for Function

Now this is a really unique idea for bathroom counter decor. Probably one of the best ways to implement some decor onto your counter since it’s not just purely decorative.

For most people implementing any kind of tray, plants, and candles onto their bathroom counter is quite hard because there really is such little space for your everyday necessities.

However ideas like the one above are really, really good in balancing function and decoration. Just the simple act of adding a hand towel upon the tray makes the whole look really good, but also really functional!

Especially useful if you don’t have a hand towel holder on your wall, so basically small spaces. This look would be really good for apartments and overall small bathrooms.

This is the kind of decorating I love to see, because it’s really unique and creative.

Decorating for Seasons

Personally, fall is my favorite season. So when I see bathroom counter decor that implements anything of the sort, including colors, or decorations, I fall in love with the look immediately.

Decorating for seasons is an awesome way to get into the festivities, and I feel like it’s a great way to decorate your bathroom counter during certain times of the year.

Instead of always having some form of decoration on your counters, just consider decorating it only during holiday periods.

The good thing is that you can still keep it super simple. Quite literally adding a plant with fall colored leaves with the intention of decorating your space is an awesome step to your bathroom decor.

Another example here, which is absolutely beautiful with the rattan vase and the white flowers. I really like this look. It’s so sleek, simple and compact.

Simple additions like even just a plant that matches a certain holiday gives you ways to decorate your bathroom counter, and the best thing is that it doesn’t have to be full year round!

For a lot of people, they’d rather not put too much effort into their bathroom counter decor since the space can be so small, which makes it harder to clean and maintain.

Luckily there are a lot of good and simple bathroom decor looks that work so so well.

Like the picture above, if you have any bathrooms in your home that are designated more towards guests, or possibly a foyer bathroom, you can keep the look super simple but still very very pretty.

A little rattan tray with greenery, hand towels and soap bottles as well as a potted plant just works so well for bathroom sink decor and keeps your counter space clean, tidy and organized.

Counter Space for Hand Towels and Toilet Paper

So this is another really good way to utilize your space and balance function and decoration.

If the other looks were too stylish for your own bathroom counter, you should definitely consider any baskets, trays, plastic holders that could hold your hand towels and toilet paper.

And, you can go further by wrapping the hand towels up nicely to make stacks, and you can do the same with toilet paper.

Again, plan the space well where all the objects balance together and don’t clutter the space. You don’t need a tray for this idea, but it can serve as a blueprint for the amount of space you can use before going into uncharted territory.

So if you decide this look, think about the kind of holder you’d like to use (I’d recommend a rattan basket like the picture above).

You could also consider the size of the basket, to ensure that it fits your bathroom counter and sink, so it doesn’t look too bulky in the space.

Overall I love these looks, and they are perfect for individuals who don’t want to add candles or plants, but keep their decor more straightforward and functional.

Tiered Storage Counter Ideas

Bathroom storage is quite literally the most frustrating problem that majority of us have. It’s basically the biggest reason as to why most people can’t decorate their bathroom countertop space.

Luckily, people are incredibly creative and come up with the most unique ideas that are still decorative and functional.

Tiered jars, baskets and storage holders are an *incredible* way to decorate your bathroom counter.

Honestly, it’s the best way to decorate your bathroom counter and maintain the most amount of function in your bathroom space.

Simple things to consider are the type of material you’d like, from rattan, metal, wood and the size of the container.

This look is so, so cool and creative.

Wow another favorite look in my book. Who would think of adding a mini wooden stool as a way to increase the space of their bathroom counter decor? Not me..

I love the way that they are utilizing it so well with the wrapped towels at the bottom and the bottles at the top. Goes super well with minimalist, contemporary and traditional bathroom looks.

I also really appreciate the rustic vase which adds so much more to the ambience and the vibe of the counter space, and the way the flowers are tall and spread out encompassing a lot of space in the air.
