If you’re anything like me, chances are your pantry isn’t as organized as you’d like it to be.
That’s the case with our family pantry. Honestly, it’s just one big clutter with no set strategy for organization.
However, the kitchen will be undergoing a renovation soon, which means our pantry will be taken out, and we have a chance to design and build a new area for our pantry foods!
With that, I decided to search up some kitchen pantry design ideas to help us with the process, and I figured I should also share my ideas below!
So if you’re looking for some ideas for your pantry, whether it’s a reno or just needs some organization, you’re in the right place!
Kitchen Pantry Design Ideas
1. Pull-Out Pantry Shelves

Shop The Look
Having these pull-out pantry shelves is so good for making everything visible at once!
You can use the front and the two sides to find what you’re looking for super easily, so it’s way harder to lose something in this design!
I think it works especially for deep spaces, and it’s most ideal for cans, snacks and spices.
2. Painting your Pantry
The shade of blue in this design is absolutely stunning, don’t you think?
Painting your pantry is the perfect way to add personality to the space without a full reno. Since it’s a smaller space, you can also try out bold colors!
I definitely feel like painting your pantry really helps make it feel a part of the home, and not just a ignored space where you store food and other stuff.
3. Walk-In Kitchen Pantry Design With Open Shelving

Shop The Look
This is a super pretty pantry look. I hope my pantry will be this big and organized one day!
Having a walk-in pantry with open shelving makes everything super accessible. This means you can also organize your things with baskets and jars to help stay organized.
4. Floor-to-Ceiling Pantry Cabinets

I love how this idea makes use of all the vertical space!
If you’re looking for more emphasis on height, this idea is for you!
A pantry cabinet also hides any mess behind the door, so this is really good if you want a minimalist kitchen!
5. Open Pantry Shelving

Another open shelving idea with wooden accents, which is so cute!
I love the way they made use of the space with jars and spices. The way they used a curtain for the lower half of the cabinet is also really unique!
The vertical pull-outs on the left side are also so good for holding appliances and heavier items!
6. Butler’s Pantry

Having a butler’s pantry is practically a luxury. You could use the extra storage for appliances, like the idea above.
However, the pantry could also double as a coffee/bar station.
Personally, I would keep all of my appliances in this space to help keep the main kitchen area uncluttered!
7. Corner Pantry Design

Don’t you just love a good pantry corner? I do, especially when there’s custom shelving.
It’s really easy to find what you need from a visual standpoint since you don’t need to look too far left or right.
Also perfect for smaller kitchens!
8. Kitchen Pantry Design with Drawers

Honestly, I’ve never seen this idea! If your pantry stores a lot of soups and canned goods, then this idea is definitely for you!
Everything is hidden until pulled out, and the design of the drawer makes it so it’s super easy to keep organized.
Definitely a very underrated idea!
9. Built-In Spice Storage

Apart from the fact that using the back of your pantry door is a huge space saver, having a built-in spice storage is also a huge time-saver!
With this pantry design, all your spices are easily seen and accessible, so you don’t waste your time looking for them in the actual pantry itself. I’m all for saving space and saving time!
10. Pantry + Appliance Storage

This kitchen pantry design is so cool! You can easily hide any visual clutter, such as bulky appliances, toilet paper rolls, and other objects that belong in the kitchen space, but you’d rather have them be unseen!
11. Labeled Pantry Storage

Labels are one of the best ways to keep your kitchen organized!
Having everything in the open also helps keep everything in order too. This idea reminds me so much of a hotel breakfast bar, and I kind of love it..

12. Narrow Pantry With Mini Fridge

This look is the cutest! I love the mini fridge idea.
It’s perfect for extra cold storage and for any drinks or kids’ snacks.
I also like how they made use of narrow shelves, which still hold a lot of items! They also took the time to add a sweet sign and some plants. Adorable!
13. Walk-In Pantry With Ladder Shelving

If you have high ceilings, this one’s for you!
The way they make use of the vertical space is so cool, and the ladder definitely makes it easier to access the upper shelves.
Having a ladder in a pantry is pretty uncommon, so you’ll definitely stand out among your friends and family with this idea!
14. Kid-Friendly Pantry Zone

This pantry idea is a game-changer for families!
I love the lower shelves made specifically for the kids, which let them easily grab snacks and continue playing.
This also helps kids with their independence, coordination, and teaches them about the importance of organization!
15. LED-Lit Pantry Shelves

This is such a unique design idea! Having led lights below your kitchen pantry shelves or at the back is such a smart way to light the space. Definitely makes it way easier to see everything in the space.
The best part about the LED lights is that you can change the colors whenever you want, so you can experiment with all the colors of the rainbow in your pantry space!
16. Cabinet Pantry Storage

Oh my gosh. The way this corner cabinet space is utilized to design a corner pantry is awesome.
The lazy Susan can easily be turned, so you can store a bunch of items here!
Make sure your corner is wide enough to fit the containers and items, and try to put frequently used things into this corner, for easy access!
17. Labeled Pantry Storage

Probably one of the simplest, but most effective kitchen pantry design idea!
It’s super easy to set up, and it ensures that everyone knows where things go.
Buy some baskets or containers from Amazon or the dollar store, and print out some labels, and boom!
18. Lazy Susan Wall Pantry

Another idea with lazy Susan’s. I just love the way they maximized their vertical space and just stacked the Susan’s on top of each other.
It’s such a good way to add a focal point in your pantry design, and it’s just so much easier to store your items, as a normal corner shelf wouldn’t be as effective as keeping everything organized!
To do this, measure the corner space, secure a mounting plate to the floor and another to the top of the cabinet, then install a center pole between them. The shelves attach to the pole and are adjusted for height, making sure everything spins freely!
19. Minimalist Pantry With Baskets

The way these baskets look like picnic baskets is so cute. I really like this pantry design with the clear containers, the jars, and the condiment holder!
If you love neutral and minimalistic looks, this pantry idea is definitely for you! Containers can be bought for super cheap, and then once you’ve purged the space, plan out how much space you have using containers.
Items on eye-level and above should be clear so they are easily seen, and anything below can be a basket!
20. Realistic Pantry With Clear Containers

This is a more realistic pantry design look, but it’s organized perfectly.
It goes to show that you don’t need fancy shelves for your pantry, and how you can easily make do with wire shelving.
Just plan out what goes where, buy the containers and get to organizing!
21. Pantry and Laundry Room Combo

Such a good space saver for small spaces! Having a pantry-laundry room combo makes it really easy to multi-task.
I absolutely love the dark wood for the cabinet counters, and how it matches the baskets above the laundry machine, and the overall color scheme!
22. Walk-in Pantry with Sign

Open shelving and closed storage is utilized perfectly in this pantry design. The corner space is really planned out and the countertop space is perfect for any appliances or food prep!
Above all, the pantry sign adds a really fun and personal touch that definitely makes the space feel more like home.
23. Butcher Block Pantry Design

Last but not least, using butcher block counters for your pantry space!
The wood accents throughout the design are really rustic and special. I love the way the wood compliments the paint color, and that backsplash! Beautiful!
